The Mimbar360 Manifesto
A care compass. A set of values that guide how we listen, build, and imagine spaces that hold both soul and structure.
Visions & Manifesto
We don’t just shape spaces. We shape futures.
At Mimbar360, we believe that architecture is not only what we build, but how we belong.
We see mosques not just as places of prayer, but as sanctuaries of presence. Designed well, they soothe the senses, honour our stories, and invite stillness in a restless world.
Design is sacred, and sacred spaces deserve care.
✸ Our living design ethic
1. Design is sacred
Design is more than structure; it is spiritual. It holds the power to restore dignity, spark joy, and honour our shared humanity.
2. Spaces should serve people
Mosques and all spaces of gathering should gently hold people. They should respond to emotion, ritual, grief, celebration, and the everyday. They must include, not exclude.
3. Beauty and belonging go hand in hand
A beautiful space is not only one that looks good but feels right. We draw from Islamic architectural wisdom, light, proportion, harmony to design spaces that uplift and embrace.
4. We lead with heart
We design with ihsan, excellence through care. Our work is human-centred, trauma-aware, and rooted in emotional wayfinding. Every element, sound, scent, softness, can help someone feel safe.
5. The past guides the future
We are grounded in heritage. The courtyards, gardens, and geometric grace of Islamic spaces carry lessons. But tradition is not a cage, it is compost. From it, we grow something new.
6. We co-create
We design with, not for. Our process is collaborative, participatory, and community-rooted. We believe every voice, young, old, expert, amateur, shapes the story of space.
7. We imagine boldly
The future belongs to the dreamers. We believe imagination is essential infrastructure. To build sacred, sustainable, just spaces, we must dare to ask: What if?
8. We design for generations
Sustainability is not a trend, it is a trust. We design for longevity, resilience, and legacy. We think in cycles, not silos. In ecosystems, not egos.
Visions: What Do You Steward?
We believe everyone holds a piece of the future. Your vision matters.
Whether you’re a designer or a daydreamer, an imam, a youth worker, an artist, an elder or an educator, your hopes help shape the sacred spaces of tomorrow.
Let us begin with a question:
“I envision a mosque that…”
“To me, sanctuary means…”
“I commit to…”
What does your mosque of the future look like?
What does safety feel like in a prayer space?
What stories do you want the walls to hold?
/// Share your vision and join a growing network of stewards and dreamers, people building spaces that heal, welcome, and uplift.
